THE BOOK: PSYCHOPATHOLOGY OF MAJA MEDIĆ

 

 This book was made for the art contest made by Hugo Boss, titled - 'Ego (Šk)Art: New Edition!' This theme opened the space for research between Super Ego, Ego and Id. Therefore the starting point for the work was the book of psychology called 'Psychopathology of Ego'. First I  started changing each  Ego into Maja, but  latter I expanded the approach by adding  personal data, starting with my original birth certificate, documents going from the oldest to the newest while photographs go in the opposite way, from the newest to the first photo of me taken in the hospital. Along with that, the book is filled with references to things that are important or have influenced my life, poems that I wrote,  quotations from my favorite books, photos of the places where I would like to travel... All in all, this book represents creative autobiography with a lot of irony and humor, creating the meaning by combining images and text.
